SAXOPHONIST ON THE MOVE.

A versatile artist from Pretoria, Atteridgeville, Katlego Sax Tshaone (27) started his music career in 2006. He is a recording artist, saxophone player and is currently working in studio as a producer and band director. Katlego has had the opportunity to work with artists like the late Sfiso Ncwane and Thembinkosi in his first album CD launch. In 2008 he worked with the likes of Benjamin Dube, Innocent Mumba and Sipho Makhabane.

By profession, Katlego is an IT technician, he always wanted to pursue a musical career to be the best saxophonist and a full-time musician. He has plans to open a music academy where he will teach music and help upcoming artists achieve their dreams. His talent has drawn him attention in the international market. He is sponsored by the biggest record label in Malawi called Major Records. Katlego has also appeared on platforms such as ENCA news, Morning Live on SABC 2 and prophetic channel just to mention a few. He recently dropped a single called U Lochiwe on the 3rd of September, which is getting great response from his fans. This was also his first time featuring a Hip-Hop artist named MagicMccoy.

Katlego’s back up plan has always been pushing more business deals in the IT category and trying to partner up with other great artists. The lockdown did not affect him as such. The artist kept having telephonic interviews, special private performances at hotels and other indoor performances which are all uploaded on his YouTube channel. He also does covers of other artists songs.

“If they do not appreciate your talent where you come from, there are those who will support your somewhere else and you the best creation from God.” These are the words the artist lives by. Katlego would love to work under Ambitious record label, saying their artist create good music and they have a great following in the industry. #ladi_jaja?
