TURNING NOTHING INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL.

Emmanuel Kgosana discovered his passion for business in high school, where he started selling snacks to his peers at Chipa-Tabane secondary school in Cullinan where he matriculated. Currently a resident of Cullinan, he was born in the village of Sekhukhune in Limpopo. He studied Analytical Chemistry at Tshwane University of Technology before he could formally train as a carpenter. “I believe that my hands are the source of my income, which is why I embraced my passion together with my talent for handwork and turned it into a business,” he said.
Emmalia enterprise is a company he owns which was formally established in 2016 offering services such as carpentry, Interior decor, architectural & building projects. Emmanuel has never had investors or funding from anyone or organization, he only had a drilling machine which he had bought. He used the machine to raise money to get more tools. Now many years later he is using his skills and experience to manage and develop his business. “Emmalia enterprise is a multi-disciplined company which has 8 employees and is now expanding into events management & farming services,” he said.

Like any entrepreneur the 28 year old faced doubt and disbelief. “Your skill or talent determines the validity of your business idea and that’s how I knew that my business idea is real. I failed, I fought with people, I almost gave up because of financial constraint which is a stumbling block to many but I remained hopeful.” he said.
Apart from being an entrepreneur he is also a musician and a motivational speaker. He believes that anyone has the potential to become an entrepreneur. “If business aspirants or new entrepreneurs can say to themselves ‘I have a dream and my dream is real’ no challenge will take them down,” he said. “South Africa needs entrepreneurs who will not mind to sell on the streets .It takes courage for a small business to grow, it is easier said than done and not many people will encourage you to follow your dreams,” said Emmanuel.
