Breakups are not easy, and when you are a celebrity subjected to the court of public opinion, I imagine going through a breakup must be the hardest thing. Putting ones best ‘ I am okay’ face, when everyone knows about your sad love story, while tabloids have your faces splashed all over front pages, and in an era where everyone documents their lives on social media, a simple click on the unfollow button, it’s an indication of a troubled paradise.
Its only been midyear and these public break up’s from our favorites have us wondering if the drivers we are boarding are headed to relationshipville and not splitville.
1. Bonang Matheba and (B.F.F) Lorna Maseko
It seems there will be no Lorna Maseko on Being Bonang S3, after the two besties have seemingly gone cold towards each other, leaving fans wondering if the pair are still friends. Although neither has commented on the stance of their friendship but when they didn’t send each other well wishes on their birthdays, fans were convinced that bo moghel are no longer friends.
Will Bonang finally address her friendship ” woes” with bestie Lorna, on her reality show, Being Bonang, I guess we have to stay tuned.
2. Nhlanhla and Tk Nciza
Nhlanhla and husband Thembinkosi ” Tk” Nciza are headed for divorceville after 15 years of marriage. Nhlanhla took to Instagram to announce their breakup in a lengthy heartfelt post. “After 15 years of marriage, my husband Tk, and I have come to a tough amicable decision to end our marriage. I am thankful for the support we have given each other over years while raising our children”.
The news of the break up were soon followed by claims of a young woman, known as Lebo Phasha, an alleged mistress to Tk could have been the real reason behind the end of their marriage.
3. The Democratic Alliance and Economic Freedom Fighters
I must say that, the marriage of convenience between the Democratic Alliance and Economic Freedom Fighters, reminds me of Hellen Zille and Dr Mamphela Ramphela union back in 2014. Their 5 days stint, ended before we could make sense of it, the good Doctor slowly faded in the politics background while Hellen thrived at the forefront, anyway back to 2019.
The EFF have expressed their desires to take over Tshwane, following the May elections, however, it seems the leaders in red will have to wait until 2021 for the Local Government Elections. In a media brief, CIC Julius Malema told journalists that the DA refuses to share power in the troubled municipalities, and the EFF will no longer vote with the DA.
” We are no longer going to vote with the DA in all municipalities and we will not vote with the ANC. We will participate in debates, however we will not vote”. He also added that ” we cannot vote for people who do not vote for us”.
4. Mbali Enhle Maphumolo and husband Nkosinathi ” Black Coffee” Maphumolo
Another Power couple rumored to be headed to divorceville is Mbali and husband Black Coffee, although Enhle has dismissed the rumor as ” irresponsible reporting”. Sunday newspaper, City Press alleges Enhle has filed for divorce through her lawyers. The newspaper alleges the sources close to the couple claim, it is Black Coffee’s wandering and interference from both families that had led to the end of their union.
Enhle has since removed pictures of Black Coffee from her Instagram account and his surname.
5. Robert Marawa and Supersport
Robert Marawa has proved that the only way to get over a break up, is to put your best foot forward. The sportscaster has launched his own YouTube channel and it has received the nods and 9000 subscribers in its first week. Marawa was dumped via SMS by his former employer Supersport, two hours before his Thursday Night Live with Robert Marawa Show.
It is alleged that the dismissal was connected to sexual harassment allegations within the Supersport ranks.
