KICK N CLEAN KEEPS SNEAKERS FRESH.

From a very tender age, Thabiso Mavuso, has been an entrepreneur and now founder and CEO of a local sneaker laundry, commonly known as Kick n Clean. He was born and buttered in Mamelodi. Almost his whole life, Thabiso has been into business. He told Tsa Pitori that back then he would sell things, just to sharpen his traits about business.
Kick n Clean was established a year ago. According to Thabiso, it has been and still doing wonders, in terms of taking care of people’s kicks. He started his business to help his community fight the high rate of unemployment; inspire the youth and the love of sneakers hygiene. “A lot of People buy beautiful and shiny sneakers and fail to take care of them, so Kick n Clean is there to resolve to that”-Thabiso.

As a way of giving back to the community, Thabiso told Tsa Pitori that they collect old sneakers from their clients. Wash them, repair them and donate them to charity. Kick n Clean offers different services. It offers washing of sneakers, repair and decoration of sneakers. The interesting part about Kick n clean is that it is located at the main road (Tsamaya avenue). It’s easy and convenient for people to see and reach it.
Thabiso told Tsa Pitori that he would like to see Kick n Clean expanding. He mentioned that Kick n Clean services are needed by people as far as Tembisa, Soweto, Ekurhuleni and Mpumalanga.

He runs a smooth sailing business because he says he is working with team players. Thabiso said he gives them a loud 9 because they are everything to him. “Sometimes I can be away from Kick n Clean for almost two weeks, but I don’t panic because I know the business is in good and capable hands”-Thabiso told Tsa Pitori.
Thabiso takes every criticism as a constructive criticism. He believes that customer service is the key to running a successful business. He did mention to Tsa Pitori that some customers come to complain but as a company, they take that and see how they can fix and improve. “I take every customer as the best customer because a happy customer replicates, therefore the business grow”-Thabiso.
