A HAVEN FOR THE OLD.

Molebogeng old age home is helping to keep elderly people safe at all times. It is based at 875 Kgabalatsane View Garankuwa. Molebogeng was started in 2016 by Molebogeng Mohlame age 26. The aim of the organisation is to take care of elderly people as some do not have people to look after them. It further gives them hope as some of them do not work anymore.

“Some, their children work during the day and others at night so the organisation keeps them safe from being raped and other crimes.” She says.The organisation does not have any sponsors for now and would appreciate any help it gets. She uses her late father’s money and family’s support to fund the organisation. They help elderly people with food, bath them and with everything else they need.

The lockdown has affected the organisation in terms of visitors as these elderly people need to be visited by their families to feel loved. “The lockdown affects us because the elderly cannot see their families as people don’t visit but call.” She says. She concluded that people must take care of elderly people as they deserve to be loved and taken care of now that they can’t do much for themselves. #ladi_jaja?
