
DINNER WITH ZOLISA XALUVA.
Award winning actor, entrepreneur and TV personality, Zolisa Xaluva recently took to twitter to talk about his latest endeavor titled “Dinner with Zolisa”. Known for his career launching character on Generations, Jason Malinga, Xaluva is originally from New Brighton, Port Elizabeth but relocated to Pretoria on the basis of education and being with his extended family. He studied at Technikon Witwatersrand but later dropped out due to instability and in pursuit of establishing his love for media, Xaluva tried to set up a campus radio station at Technikon Witwatersrand but was turned down on the grounds of not being an enrolled student at the institution anymore.
Xaluva then went on to study drama at Technikon Pretoria, and after a long period of unemployment, Zolisa landed the Jason Malinga character on South Africa’s most watched soap opera Generations. He has portrayed his versatile acting talent on TV shows like Igazi, Rhythm City, The Queen, The Throne, Hustle, Gomora, Tsha Tsha and Ugugu no Andile, just to name a few.

His ability to portray different roles landed him a role on one of the “it” and most talked about Netflix accredited series called Kings of Jo’burg. He plays Mogomotsi “Mo” Masiri, the brother of Simon Masiri (Shona Ferguson). Some of his awards include the Golden Horn for best supporting actor in a feature film and a SAFTA. Through his TV personality career, he has also ventured into advertising. #ladi_jaja?
